Water Consumption and Pollution Control at Barsan
Barsan Global Logistics monitors water consumption monthly and reports it to senior management. Since the facilities only use water in sinks and fire extinguishing systems, the company focuses on raising employee awareness through regular water conservation trainings. There is no industrial wastewater; only domestic wastewater is generated, which is safely discharged into the city canal. Additionally, rainwater is managed through canal connections, ensuring no pollution occurs from spills or leaks. Barsan is committed to controlling water use and preventing water pollution.
Our Waste Management
Barsan Global Logistics fully complies with laws and regulations regarding the separation and recycling of waste generated from its activities. Employees are responsible for properly disposing of waste according to type without mixing them. While waste management is not a top priority in the current sustainability strategy, Barsan recognizes its importance for the logistics sector and is committed to reducing waste, reusing where possible, and prioritizing recycling over disposal. In 2023, Barsan’s Şişli, Sancaktepe, Bursa, Manisa, and Mersin regions received the “Zero Waste” certificate. Waste is separated at the source, and the total weights are calculated based on waste types. Additionally, 76,121 kg of wooden pallets were sent for recycling during the year.
